This photo was taken at the home of Mr and Mrs N. Niman in Marton Road, Middlesbrough, possibly in 1944.
In the picture are Rabbi and Mrs Miller (front centre), Mimsie and Florrie Goldberg and Estelle Josephs Betty Levinson
Whilst I am from Newcastle my wife, Anne, is from Middlesbro, a cousin of Terry Greenberg and all the other Greenbergs, Ben & Ann Maskill
Some years ago I saw a site on North East Jewry, which centred around the first shuls in Newcastle. There was a Rabbi Caro , my grandfather was a Caro and I am wondering if he was a brother. However, have never been able to get back to that site. Can anyone help me please.
Our community in New Zealand is also shrinking fast, but all are headed for Melbourne which is thriving, with shul's on every corner (Slight exaggeration - but there are a lot) Ray Benda New Zealand

Beryl and I spent a week walking on the North Yorkshire Moors, and took the opportunity to visit David Simon and Nan Bloom, both old friends.

My name is Dave Butcher and I lived in Claude Avenue, just around the corner from where you [Ed note: the Wiseman family] lived in Phillips Avenue.
I went to Mill Hill School with your brother Louis, and as teenagers we used to all drink out in Hutton Rudby.
I'm afraid that over the years I have lost touch with Louis, last seeing him when he was living in Marton, just before you moved to Israel.
Well by chance I came across your site, and am wondering if you could pass on my regards to Louis. Dave Butcher Hove, East Sussex
I wondered if you would wish to include this photo of David Simon taken on his 90th birthday in your next Newsletter.
