Some time ago I managed to track down the Middlesbrough Synagogue Marriage Registers after the shul had closed. It appears they were initially kept by Dennis Broady, but he later deposited them for safe-keeping with the Teesside Archives. I subsequently had discussions with the County Archivist, who allowed me access to the files so that I could digitise the data. I have now transcribed all the relevant data, set out in full in the following four web pages. They cover the period from the first recorded marriage on 30 August 1871, up to the last marriage on 02 September 1984.
I am sure this information will be of interest to the community, particularly those interested in genealogy. In order to maintain the privacy of any living person I have purposely omitted the ages of both the bride and groom in respect of all marriage entries from 1930 onwards. Copies of any specific marriage certificate can be obtained from the General Register Office for England & Wales.
I am grateful to Teesside Archives for making these Registers available for compilation and transcription.
